ALICE MAGDELINE FISHER – Obituary

Alice Magdeline Fisher (nee Shiels) of Pittsgrove on Monday, January 3, 2022. Age 92. Wife of 46 years to the late Andrew Thaddeus Fisher. Mother of Matthew Joseph Fisher of Vineland, Marguerite Agnes Munyan (Richard) of Pittsgrove, and the late Andrew David Fisher. Grandmother of Andrew David Fisher of Idaho, Brian Russell Munyan (Lauren) of Pittsgrove, and Amy Marie Sayel (Trevor) of Pittsgrove. Great-grandmother of Colin Ren Sayel and Alison Paige Munyan. Sister of Ruthann Baldwin and the late Charlotte Divens. Daughter of the late Matthew and Lillian May (nee Crawford) Shiels.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Alice moved to the Iona section of Franklin Township in 1950 and has been a resident of Pittsgrove since 1960. She worked as the Supervisor of Central Supply at Elmer Hospital for 25 years until her retirement in 1991. Alice was an avid beach goer, especially to Ocean City, and enjoyed numerous bus trips to the casinos. She was a longtime member of the Stitch & Bitch Sewing Club and enjoyed reading until her Parkinson’s Disease made it too difficult. Alice was very much a homemaker and loved her big Sunday dinners where all of her family got together.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312 with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM.
