ACCESS NEW JOB INFO 24/7
Gloucester County Workforce Development Announces Mobile American Job Center
To keep up with today’s trends and to make accessing job opportunities easier than ever, Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger and Freeholder Heather Simmons announced the county’s next mobile initiative: the Mobile American Job Center.Over 389 billion text messages are sent monthly in the US alone. Mobile devices have become a primary source of communication and socialization in the past few years, and it has been reported that 91% of adults have access to a smartphone.
“Communication has changed over the years, and technology has taken a huge leap in how we get our information. By creating the Mobile American Job Center, county residents will be able to access new job information 24/7 regardless of where they are,” said Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger. “By expanding to mobile devices we are giving our residents constant access to information they need to learn about employment opportunities. They will get direct updates and reminders on events, dates, times, and other important information.”The Mobile American Job Center, hosted by mobile application Engage by Cell, will automatically send out text messages on new businesses, hiring events and updated information on current job openings in the county and region. This technology is supported by a mobile website and landing page and is free to download. The county’s Office of Economic Development maintains the information that will be distributed.
