Zinni, Victoria Lynn age 74, of Ocean View, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, with her devoted sister, Ann Louise Zinni, by her side. Vicki was born in Woodbury, and grew up in Franklinville. She graduated from Delsea Regional High School in 1966 and then attended cosmetology school, where she received a degree in cosmetology and hairstyling. Vicky was a generous and caring friend, always there for the people she loved. She also truly loved animals, and was a willing and proud volunteer at Beacon Animal Rescue Vicki first worked as a hairstylist, while still living in the Franklinville area. Later, she moved to Ocean View, where she began a new career at the front desk at the newly-opened Resorts Casino. She then joined the Security Investigations team at Caesars, where she worked until 2012. She made life-long friends during her career, and throughout her life. Vicki truly enjoyed retirement, especially the opportunities to travel throughout the United States and Europe. She was most proud of “finding her roots” in Italy and visiting the birthplaces of both of her grandparents. During that visit she and her sister met cousins they didn’t know they had, and an instant family connection was made. They were later invited back for a cousin’s wedding, which they happily attended. All because of Vicki’s love for family. Vicki was a kind, loving, thoughtful and generous daughter, sister, cousin and friend. She will be forever missed. Vicki is survived by her loving sister and best friend, Ann Louise Zinni, and several close cousins. She is pre-deceased by her father Frederick Zinni, and her mother, Gladys Zinni. We know Vicki is looking down from heaven in amazement, confident that her once-reluctant sister, Ann Louise, has now proudly assumed (with trepidation and some training) the sacred duty of becoming stepmother to her beloved cat-daughter, Nellie. A Celebration of Vicki’s life was held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm at The Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo, NJ 08223. The family will hold a private burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Vicki would request donations on behalf of Beacon Animal Rescue, 701 Butter Road, Ocean View, NJ 08230.
