Susan Lee (née Bracarello) Hansen, age 75, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, in Harrison Township. Devoted wife of the late Gary M. Hansen, with whom she shared 54 loving years of marriage. Cherished mother to Sherry L. Hansen (Benny Colon) of Bridgeton and Michelle R. Hansen of Pitman. Beloved grandmother of Chelsea L. Colon — the pride and joy of both her “Mom Mom” and “Pop Pop.”
Susan was the dear sister of Nancy J. Hansen, Melody Montgomery, and William R. Montgomery (Cheri). She was predeceased by her siblings JoAnn M. Bracarello, Joseph C. Bracarello, Jr., and August J. Bracarello. She was the loving daughter of the late Dorothy T. (née Rehm) Montgomery and the late Joseph C. Bracarello.
Susan was born on March 16, 1950, in Swedesboro, and was raised in Glassboro. She lived in Clayton for 25 years before settling in Pitman, where she spent the next 25 years. Afterward, she resided in West Deptford for 5 years before returning to Pitman a year and a half ago.
Susan earned her GED and went on to receive an Associate’s Degree in Computer Systems from Gloucester County College. Her dedication and strong work ethic were reflected in her many years of service as an accounting assistant, including 5 years at Evergreen Printing & Publishing Company, 10 years at Wawa, and 17 years with the Girl Scouts.
In her free time, Susan enjoyed visiting the casino and playing the slot machines — a pastime that brought her both joy and excitement. Above all, she lived a life centered on family and tradition. A devoted mother and grandmother, she especially cherished the time spent with her granddaughter, Chelsea. Susan was a good old-school housewife—known for her home-cooked meals, a tidy home, and the warmth she brought into every room. Deeply family-oriented, she consistently put her loved ones first in everything she did.
Relatives and friends are invited to her graveside service on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Manahath Cemetery, 730 N. Main Street, Glassboro, NJ 08028. Services are under the direction of Barclay Funeral Home. Sign the guestbook and send condolences at BarclayFuneralHome.net.
