Sharon (Shari) B. Hervold, 84, Gettysburg, PA passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Mercy House in Chambersburg, PA. She was born March 10, 1941 in Williamstown, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Robert and Eunice Bluhm Brown. Sharon is survived by her husband, Thorsteen K. Hervold, a daughter, Kaara Mehring and her husband Richard of Albuquerque, NM, a grandson, Valbjorn Mehring, three sisters–Carol Patterson of Dallas, TX; Barbara Mackery and Gayle Paulsen, both of Hamburg, NJ–and many beloved nieces and nephews. Shari graduated in 1965 from the University of Northern Colorado with a double major in speech and music. Early in her career she taught high school in various states and finished her teaching career with 25 years in Turnersville, NJ. She was always active in a local church, and served as an organist, choir director, and Christian education director in the numerous churches she attended. Shari loved to cook and host people in her home. Her large extended family brought her great joy, and she delighted in playing games with them, singing with her sisters, and engaging in long conversations.
