Selma Ann “Sally” Weinstein (nee Chernak) on Sunday, October 18, 2020. Age 95. Wife of 44 years to the late Lester Weinstein. Mother of Linda M. Hartz (David Joseph) of Highland Beach, Florida and Dale Weinstein (Anthony Jiannotti) of Vineland. Grandmother of Stacy Rabut (Damien) of Margate, Richard Puglia (Rebecca) of Williamstown, Frederick Jiannotti (Heather) of Malaga, David Jiannotti (Theresa) of Franklinville, and Joshua Kauffman (Jennalou) of West Virginia. Great-grandmother of Rachael, Austin, Emilie, Jake, Marleigh, Lucas, David, J.J., Anthony, Nicky, Alyssa, Mook, and Lilly. Also survived by Liz Cassaday (Lou) along with many nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Frederick and Irene (nee Levy) Disque.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Sally was a resident of Clayton for 46 years before moving to Malaga in 1988. She was the owner and operator of Sally’s Outlet in Clayton for 25+ years until her retirement in 1988. Sally was a phenomenal cook! Her secret recipe brioche french toast was amazing, and her stuffing was delicious. She made her chicken popeye for everyone’s birthday and especially for the kids. It was an all day project from scratch that was a labor of love. Sally loved to read and tend to her flower gardens. Her family, especially her grandchildren, were her life! She would regularly pick up the grandchildren from school and, when they were old enough to get a permit, allow them to drive her home.
Services are private at the convenience of the family under the direction of the
BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Sant Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Sign the guestbook at BarclayFuneralHome.net.
