PUBLIC NOTICE

ELK TOWNSHIP TAX SALE NOTICE

COLLECTOR’S NOTICE OF LIEN SALE OF PROPERTY FOR NON-PAYMENT OF 2024 TAXES AND PRIOR ARREARS IS HEREBY GIVEN, that I, Susan E. DeFrancesco, Collector of Taxes of the Taxing District of Elk Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey, will sell at Public Auction liens against the real estate listed below on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Township Building, 680 Whig Lane Monroeville, NJ 08313, pursuant to Tax Sale Law R.S. 54:5. The amounts named are for taxes, for the year 2024 and arrears plus interest and costs to October 20, 2025. Such sale shall be made in fee to such person as will purchase same, subject to redemption at the lowest rate of interest, but in no case in excess of eighteen (18%) per cent annum. THE NAMES SHOWN ARE AS THEY APPEAR IN THE TAX DUPLICATE AND DO NOT NECESSARILY MEAN THAT PARTIES ARE THE PRESENT OWNERS OF THE PROPERTY. REQUIRED NOTICE AND DISCLOSURE – Industrial properties may be subject to Spill Compensation and Control Act (NJSA 58:10-23-11 et seq.), the Water Pollution Control Act (NJSA 58:10A-1 et seq.) and the Industrial Recovery Act (NJSA 13-iK 6 et seq.) in addition, the municipality is precluded from issuing a certificate to any prospective purchaser who is or may be in any way connected to the prior owner or operator of the site. IN THE EVENT THE OWNER IS ON ACTIVE DUTY WITH THE MILITARY, THE COLLECTOR SHOULD BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY. PURCHASES are required by law to pay the interest and costs charged against each parcel purchased before the conclusion of sale, or property will be resold.
