PAULINE ELIZABETH DESCHLER – Obituary

Pauline Elizabeth Deschler passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 at the age of 90.  Mother of Debora Marghilano (John).  Grandmother of Felisha Ingalls (Tyler).  Great-grandmother of Cameron Ingalls.  Aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.  Daughter of the late Jacob & Ida Frances (nee Huntsinger) Deschler, Jr.  Sister of the late Roy Deschler, Sr.

Born and raised in Clayton where she lived for 60 years on the Deschler Family Farm, Pauline was a 1948 graduate of Clayton High School and moved to Williamstown 30 years ago.  In her youth, she worked at the dance hall at Wilson Lake and later in several sewing factories as a Button Holer including 35 years at Nannettes Sewing Factory in Glassboro until its closure in 1992.  Pauline worked for 2 years at Academy Knitting Mill in Williamstown before finally retiring in 1994 after it too closed.  She had also spent many years working on the family tomato farm as everyone in the family did.

Pauline was a longtime member of the Downer United Methodist Church and was very involved in church activities throughout her life including the women’s club in her younger years.  She was very much a homebody and enjoyed spending quality time with her family and most recently playing with her great-grandson, Cameron.  Pauline enjoyed shopping, watching tv, and growing flowers.  She always liked to be spiffy and loved getting her hair and nails done.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday, July 10, 2020, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, July 11, 2020, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312.  Funeral service on Saturday at 11:00 AM.  Interment Downer Methodist Church Cemetery, Williamstown.  Sign the guestbook at BarclayFuneralHome.net.
