Nicolina M. Candela, age 87, on August 8, 2025, in Vineland, NJ. Born on January 10, 1938, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Nancy (nee Pace) Candela. She is survived by her loving cousins: Marion Trovarelli of Vineland, NJ; George Impagliacco of Maple Shade, NJ; Margaret Gruhler of Vineland, NJ; John Pace, Jr. of Bridgeton, NJ; Josephine Mohan of Allentown, PA; and Roseann St.Clair of Vineland, NJ.
A proud member of the Class of 1956, Nicolina graduated from Edward W. Bok Technical High School in Philadelphia. She went on to work as a saleswoman at Nancy’s Confectionery Store, a cherished family-owned business, where she remained until her retirement in 1961.
She was raised in Philadelphia before settling in Franklinville, NJ, where she lived for 36 years. In 1998, she made her home in Malaga, NJ, and quickly became a cherished member of the local community. Her later years were spent in Vineland, NJ, where she relocated in 2017.
Nicolina was a devout Catholic and an active member of the Legion of Mary. She was also a dedicated parishioner of Saint Mary’s Church in Malaga, where her faith and service were a central part of her life.
Nicolina will be remembered for her quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to her family and church. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
