Margaret Elaine Kearney, age 70, on September 25, 2025, in Vineland, NJ. Born on January 29, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Eleanor (née Greer) Kearney.
Margaret was one of eight siblings and is survived by her sisters Gaye Sharp (late Dean) of Hudson, NC; Nancy Wright (Samuel) of Franklinville, NJ; Mary Beth Henwood (Mark) of Fresno, CA; Veronica Nelson of Philadelphia, PA; and her brother John E. Kearney (Chrissy) of Norfolk, VA. She was predeceased by her sisters Josephine Kearney and Elizabeth “Elle” Kearney. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was born and raised in Philadelphia and was a proud 1975 graduate of the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf. She later built a dedicated and meaningful 23-year career as a laboratory technician with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration in Philadelphia, retiring in 2004. In 2022, she relocated from Philadelphia to Franklinville, where she spent her final years.
In her free time, Margaret found great joy in life’s simple pleasures—she was an avid reader and especially enjoyed dining out and trying new foods. Her quiet strength and warm heart will be missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312. Funeral mass begins at 11:45 AM at the R.C. Church of the Nativity, 2677 Delsea Drive, Franklinville, NJ 08322. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA.
