Father of Suzanne Lucarelli and her husband Jon Sharron of Burbank, CA. Step-father of George Reynolds and his wife Kathy (nee Krentz) of Manahawkin, NJ; Beth Polanco (nee Sprinkle) and her husband Francisco of Newfield, NJ; Shannon Sprinkle of Newfield, NJ; and James Sprinkle, Jr. of Mantua, NJ. Grandfather of Louis Reynolds, Ryan Reynolds, Gunnar Sharron, Jaxon Polanco, Sofia Polanco, and Brayden Sprinkle. Great-grandfather of Ava Grace. Son of the late Donato and Suzzie (nee Attanasio) Lucarelli. Brother of the late Rosemary Lucarelli.
Born and raised in Newark, Louis was a 25 year resident of Bloomfield and later a 12 year resident of Clayton before moving to Cape May Court House 2 months ago. He was a 1970 graduate of Randolph High School and attended Morris County College. Louis worked his entire life in the Telecom industry beginning with 32 years at Verizon Communications in Newark and later Atlantic City where he was a Manager with Installation and Maintenance. He retired in January of 2021 after 15 years with Crown Castle out of Rochester, NY as a Fiber Construction Engineer.
Louis loved boating and enjoyed being in the warm sunshine while spending time on his boat. He liked working in the yard and loved being with all of his grandchildren. Through Verizon, Louis was a member of the Pioneers Volunteer Network, and he had been a little league coach. Louis loved going with his wife to musicals in NYC and especially enjoyed visiting NYC at Christmas time. He cherished many good times spent with great friends at the Jersey Shore and loved traveling with his wife to tropical destinations and sporting events.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312 with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM.
