IRENE M. KULP – Obituary

Irene M. Kulp (nee Longbottom), age 96, of Franklinville, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Jefferson Hospital Washington Township, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife for 65 years to the late William Clyde Kulp and the cherished mother of Larry (Evelyn) Kulp, Steven M. Kulp, Sharon Kulp, Gayle (Dennis) Carter, and Carol (Dave) Kulp-Bates. Irene was a proud grandmother to Steven C. (Anna) Kulp, Kristy (J.P.) Sykes, Stacy (John) Hotaling, Mindy Talley, Jessica Talley, Bill (Erin) Kulp, Jen (Tony) Weeks, and the late Tom Fritz. She was also a loving great-grandmother to Willa, Oliver, Jase, Aurora, Leland, Jackie, Hayden, Dylan (Kelsey), Nathan, Kelissa, Dalton, and Evangeline, as well as a great-great-grandmother to Mira and Ronan. Irene was the daughter of the late Edward and Elsie (nee Ludlow) Longbottom.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Irene was raised in Vineland, New Jersey, and had been a resident of Franklinville, New Jersey, for the past 75 years. She graduated from Vineland High School in 1946 and dedicated much of her life to caring for her family as a housewife. Later in life, she worked several jobs, with her favorite and most recent position being a Floral Packer for Delaware Valley Floral Group in Sewell, where she worked for 20 years until her retirement in 2001.

Irene was a woman of many interests and talents. She was known for her love of yard sales, where she would often find treasures to share with her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially swimming in her pool and watching birds in her garden. Irene also had a special talent for baking, and her delicious cookies were a favorite treat for all who knew her. Above all, she was a kind, loving, and selfless mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.  Her legacy of love and warmth will forever remain in the hearts of her family.
