Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19


As of Tuesday, September 8, 2020 Gloucester County has conducted 52,928 total tests. Of these cases, 49,024 have come back negative. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 3,904 and has 216 COVID-19 related deaths. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 27 cases to report. Of those cases:

The 3879th case is a 19-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 3880th case is a 21-year-old female from East Greenwich.
The 3881st case is a 19-year-old female form Harrison Twp.
The 3882nd case is a 20-year-old male from Glassboro.
The 3883rd case is a 59-year-old male from Deptford.
The 3884th case is a 23-year-old female from Mantua.
The 3885th case is a 47-year-old male form Washington Twp.
The 3886th case is a 22-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 3887th case is a 20-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 3888th case is a 48-year-old male from Monroe Twp.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions.
