Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19


As of Tuesday, August 18th Gloucester County has conducted 40,068 total tests. Of these cases, 36,585 have come back negative. One case has been moved out of County.Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 3,482. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 21 cases to report. Of those cases:
The 3462ndcase is a 73-year-old male from Harrison Twp.
The 3463rd case is a 27-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 3464th case is a 17-year-old male from Harrison Twp.
The 3465th case is a 19-year-old female from Woolwich.
The 3466th case is a 49-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 3467th case is a 47-year-old female from Mantua.
The 3468th case is a 51-year-old female from Harrison Twp.
The 3469th case is a 27-year-old female from Woodbury.
The 3470th case is a 27-year-old female from West Deptford.
The 3471st case is a 25-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 3472nd case is a 20-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 3473rd case is an 18-year-old male from Pitman.
The 3474th case is a 37-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 3475th case is a 62-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 3476th case is a 46-year-old female from Pitman.
The 3477th case is a 21-year-old male from Deptford.
The 3478th case is a 22-year-old female from South Harrison Twp.
The 3479th case is a 41-year-old female from Woodbury Heights.
The 3480th case is a 55-year-old male form Mantua.
The 3481st case is a 53-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 3482nd case is a 63-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
Gloucester County has 210 COVID-19 related deaths.The 209th patient death was a 63-year-old female from Woodbury. The 210th patient death was a 79-year-old female from Deptford.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity. Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
