Franklin Township, Gloucester County Is seeking a qualified candidate for the full-time position
of Deputy Municipal Clerk. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Municipal Clerk’s
office, including responding to OPRA requests, preparing agendas, meeting minutes, issuing
permits and licenses and performing other duties as required. The Deputy Clerk must be able to
carry out the duties of the Municipal Clerk in their absence. Preferred qualifications include prior
experience in local government, specifically in a Municipal Clerk’s office. The ideal candidate
would possess both a Registered Municipal Clerk and Certified Municipal Registrar Certificate.
Responsibilities include assisting as Secretary to the Governing Body, Chief Administration
Officer of Elections and licensing, issuing Vital Statistics records, and all other duties of the
Municipal Clerk in accordance with State and Local statutes, during the Clerk’s absence.
Applicants must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal
abilities and proficiency in administrative, organizational and computer/technical tasks, including
Microsoft Office and Edmunds. A commitment to learning, the ability to multitask in a fast-
paced environment and professionalism and confidentiality are required. Salary is negotiable and
