FRANKLINVILLE MAN APPREHENDED AND CHARGED AS A FUGITIVE

Cooperation between the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force and the Bensalem PA Police Department has resulted in the arrest of a Franklinville man wanted for failing to appear in court on charges of second-degree burglary and receiving stolen property in Monroe Township.

Information was developed that Bernard M. Kanuck age 34 was staying at a Bensalem address. Officers of the GCPO, the U.S. Marshals and the Bensalem PD located him there on 4/3/17. He fled on foot through two local trailer parks but was apprehended and charged as a fugitive from justice. He was placed in the Bucks County Jail pending extradition to New Jersey. Kanuck is charged in New Jersey in connection with a 10/24/16 burglary at a Williamstown construction business in which traffic cones and other property valued in excess of $750 was taken. In the burglary charge, he is accused of attempting to inflict injury by driving a commercial vehicle from the business into another occupied vehicle.
