Constance Anne “Connie” Streitz (nee Sorelle)- Obituary

Connie Streitz, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, with her family by her side.  She was a cheerleader and a tennis player at Glassboro High School and continued playing tennis at Glassboro State College, where she earned her bachelor’s and then her master’s in education and library science. She was a teacher and a librarian who impacted the lives of many children. Most importantly, she was a loving wife to Wayne Streitz, a devoted mother to Kim Thompson and the late Doug Streitz, and a supportive and giving grandmother to Holly Thompson. She was a world traveler, played tennis, enjoyed reading and gardening, and spent a lot of time with her family. She always talked about growing up in the Italian neighborhood in Glassboro with her late parents, Joseph and Anne Sorelle, and her siblings, Lynn (Sorelle) Forster and the late Joe Sorelle.

Services are private at the convenience of the family under the direction of the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME of Clayton.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Notre Dame Law School Scholarship Fund at  http://giving.nd.edu/streitz-memorial or via USPS at University of Notre Dame, Department of Development, 1100 Grace Hall, Notre Dame, IN 46556  [Please include a note indicating that the donation should be directed to the Law School Scholarship Fund in memory of Constance Streitz.]  Sign the guestbook and send condolences at BarclayFuneralHome.net.
