Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19
As of Friday, August 21st Gloucester County has conducted 41,274 total tests. Of these cases, 37,731 have come back negative. One case has been moved out of County.Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 3,525. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 18 cases to report. Of those cases:
The 3525th case is a 17-year-old male from East Greenwich.
The 3526th case is an 8-year-old female from Woolwich.
The 3527th case is a 23-year-old male from Clayton.
The 3528th case is a 26-year-old male from Deptford.
The 3529th case is a 96-year-old male from Pitman.
The 3530th case is an 86-year-old female from Pitman.
The 3531st case is a 43-year-old female from Harrison Twp.
The 3532nd case is a 17-year-old female from Woolwich.
The 3533rd case is a 53-year-old female from Franklin Twp.
The 3534th case is a 9-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 3535th case is a 19-year-old male from Mantua.
The 3536th case is a 43-year-old male from Woodbury.
The 3537th case is a 55-year-old female from Pitman.
The 3538th case is a 19-year-old female from East Greenwich.
The 3539th case is a 49-year-old female from Clayton.
The 3540th case is a 19-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 3541st case is a 58-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 3542nd case is a 72-year-old female from Washington Twp.

Gloucester County has 213 COVID-19 related deaths.The 212th patient death was an 83-year-old male from Deptford. The 213th patient death was a 90-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
